Cask sample. Vibrant dark fruit, quite a chunky, forward style. Sweet black-cherry and bramble flavours. I suspect this will taste even better after bottling and further ageing. Complex, finely wound. (AWH)

The 2021 Ladoix La Corvée 1er Cru has an attractive nose with open-knit brambly red fruit, light sous-bois scents, quite delineated and focused. Then with aeration, there is just a touch of VA. The palate is sweet and chewy, fine acidity, quite pure and with an easygoing, supple finish. Maybe early-drinking, but not bad overall.
