This confirms its fine showing in barrel, and the ripeness of the vintage means that it's quite approachable out of the gates.

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fournaux, which I erroneously called a Premier Cru last year, has an attractive nose of brambly red fruit mixed with a touch of black currant. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and fine acidity, and lightly spiced toward the finish. Easy-drinking and quite delicious. It probably needs just another 12 months in bottle.
