The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Village has a crisp and quite minerally bouquet that leaps out of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, succulent tannins and a grippy, masculine finish. Though just a Village Cru, give this a couple of years and you will have a delicious Pinot.
This particular vineyard is due to be pulled out. Bright crimson – quite pale. Direct, energetic fruit. Almost electric! Very focused and slightly dry tannins on the end. (JR)
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
