The 1982 Musigny Grand Cru hails from a troublesome growing season, and yet it defies expectations. Fragrant on the nose, it has a curiously almost honeyed tincture, quite sensual and more Vosne-like. The palate is medium-bodied and fully mature, with orange rind infusing the dark berry fruit. Clove and black tea appear towards the slightly drying finish. Drink soon. Tasted at the La Paulée in Beaune.
