Tasting notes
Rich aromas of honey and white truffle, plus a whiff of old barrel. Fat and ripe on entry, offering flavors of stone fruits, honey and white truffle. Then turns a bit peppery on the back end but without coming across as austere.

Gracious and inviting, the 2011 Meursault en la Barre fleshes out with tangerine peel, spices, mint and floral-infused honey. There is a lovely immediacy and mid-palate pliancy to the 2011 that is going to make it virtually impossible to resist. The wine's mid-weight personality is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.
Appealing combo of richness and greenness on the nose. Very firm and ambitious with real structure. Chewy finish for the moment (which is very rare). (JR)
