Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2022
The 1986 Verdelho is subtle, understated and quite classy. Medium in body, with striking mid-palate pliancy, the Verdelho is an absolute delight. Sweet spice, caramel, dried herbs and mint flesh out effortlessly. It's all refinement and sensuality here. Floral and spice overtones reappear on the finish, adding a striking aromatic presence. Bottled in 2015.

The 1986 Verdelho Reserva exhibits aromas of pecans, walnuts, dried citrus, nutmeg, cedar, beeswax and vanilla pod, followed by a medium to full-bodied and fleshy palate, with a sweet core of fruit, ripe acids and a peppery finish.
