Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin La Justice, the first parcel to be picked by Felettig, has good fruit intensity on a nose of ample black cherries and blueberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite chewy tannin. A bold La Justice with a sweet, figgy finish that occludes the terroir somewhat. Hopefully it will develop more restraint and terroir expression by the time of bottling.
