Score 87/100 · Drink 2016-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016

Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru had a very reduced bouquet that subdued most of the fruit intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly rigid tannin. This is a serious Clos de Vougeot, one that feels foursquare and conservative on the stemmy finish. Difficult to like, a bit charmless you could say. Tasted September 2016.
