La Fleur Peyrabon is an attractive Pauillac Cru Bourgeois with lovely aromatic lift and purity of fruit. Medium in body and gracious, the 2018 will drink well right out of the gate.

This is a wine that has been worked carefully and skilfully, with firm, bright blueberry and raspberry fruit, and a Pauillac character that comes with tannins that grip but don’t overpower. I get some sweetness from the oak and a touch more heat than is traditional for Pauillac, but it’s hard to quibble with the drinkability – this is good and very approachable.
