Tasting notes
The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino shows ripe fruit and soft texture over an easy, mid-weight body. Perhaps this Rosso is a little richer and more saturated than its peers, and that extra textural support would work nicely against breaded veal steak or fried chicken. Some 13,000 bottles were made.

The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino wafts up with a perfumed mix of violets, lavender and cinnamon-dusted cherries. This flows effortlessly across the palate with polished ripe red fruits and sweet inner spices. There's nothing out of place in this silky beauty. It is balanced by zesty acidity through the lightly structured and characterful finale, showcasing hard red candies nuances mixed with worn leather and a pleasant inner sweetness that lingers. I'd drink this any night of the week.
