Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2023-2031, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village, 80% from a declassified Premier Cru in the lieu-dit of Chalumeaux, has a simple but focused bouquet that just feels a little static compared to some of its peers. The palate shows much more potential, delivering fine acidity, a lovely creamy texture and a vivid, ginger-tinged finish. Once the aromatics awaken (and I think they will), this will be very fine.
