Tasting notes
The 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is quite expressive, bursting from the glass with aromas of plums, red berries, peonies, warm spices and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, ample and rich, it's fleshy and succulent, with an open-knit profile tempered by youthfully chewy tannins that assert themselves on the finish.

The 2019 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru includes 50% whole cluster, mainly to fill the vat, and is now plowed by horse due to the spacing of the vines. The delineated bouquet features red berry fruit infused with pressed rose petal, quite minerally in style. That comes through on a palate that is very focused, offering a touch of white pepper and clove and bay toward the complex finish. A classy, quite cerebral Clos de Vougeot.
About the producer
