Tasting notes
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 1er Cru has a composed bouquet with brambly red fruit, orange rind, sous-bois and light tobacco scents. It's refined and focused. The palate is very well balanced with a welcome edginess on the entry. Quite a nervy Chambolle, and I appreciate that. Plenty of mineralité comes through on the finish. This is very enticing.

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes (Domaine Gagey) has also turned out very well, delivering aromas of cherries, raspberries, raw coca and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated palate, its sweet core of fruit underpinned by supple tannins.
