Six years old, concentrated cassis and black cherry fruits, well integrated tannins, confident and enjoyable. A trace of heat on the finish, reflecting the warmth of the vintage, but great quality - the chocolate and grilled almond character that I get in many of these adds depth and makes Biac stands out head and shoulders against so many in the appellation. The 2015 Château Biac has a simple but attractive mulberry and black olive-tinged nose, like a low-key Graves. The palate is well balanced with chewy tannin, dense red berry fruit, but there is just a touch of hardness towards the finish that should dissipate by the time this is in bottle.
