The 2018 Liot has a vibrant, honeyed orange zest and quince bouquet, a little more citric than I noticed compared to previous vintages. The palate is well balanced with a viscous opening, marmalade and quince flanked by passion fruit notes that are quite prominent toward the finish. Not complex, but it is a good effort.

80% Sémillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Muscadelle. Barrel sample. Complex and aromatic. Pear and apricot fruit and lots of botrytis-derived almond notes. Chewy and broad and satisfying. Firm and spicy on the finish. (JH)
