Score 89/100 · Drink 2017-2023, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2017

The 2012 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is plump, juicy and expressive, with plenty of red cherry, plum, spice, rose petal and mint. Creamy and open-knit, the Barolo will drink well pretty much upon release. This is an especially succulent, giving young Barolo.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2017-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2016

The 2012 Barolo is dark, pliant and supple, all qualities that give it plenty of immediacy. Dark red cherry, plum, spices, French oak, tobacco and menthol flesh out in a voluptuous, racy Barolo that will drink well pretty much right out of the gate. The 2012 is a bit lighter and more high-toned than normal, but it is quite attractive.
