Tasting notes
Barbaresco. Pale, developed ruby with brickstone rim. Pefumed and fine nose with spicy oak nose. Enormous on the palate, while slow to open up. Savoury, tannic feel and well balanced oak. Very good. (WS)

The deeply-colored barrique-aged 2001 Barbaresco Gaiun is a terrific example of a more modern style of Barbaresco. It presents an elegant nose redolent of spices followed by rich macerated cherry and mineral flavors with superbly well-integrated oak and great overall balance.
