The 2022 Domaine de l'Eglise has a perfumed, floral bouquet with a crushed violet aroma infusing the blackcurrant and bilberry fruit tones. The oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied and harmonious, with sappy blackberry and black pepper notes and a fleshy, smooth finish. It's not the most complex Pomerol yet it has charm and will appeal to those seeking a slightly more opulent style.

Chocolate brownie, baked damsons, blackcurrant, violet curls. Frost early in the season meant a low yield here, along with the heat of the summer. Has impact. 60% new oak.
