Score 89/100 · Drink 2024-2029, Neal Martin, Jan 2024
The 2021 Côteaux Bourguignons Mon Poulain comes from the Monpoulain lieu-dit in the lower part of Volnay and Pommard, 50% Gamay (Fleurie and Pommard) and 50% Pinot Noir. It has a fruity nose of red cherry and crushed strawberry, very pastille-like. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip, well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and vivacious with a dab of spice on the finish. This is made for early drinking.
