2020 Saumur Blanc Les Chapaudaises

An acid-lovers' wine, the 2022 Saumur Blanc Les Chapaudaises is taut, chiseled and unyielding. There's real essence, power and tension within its textured, structured core. Taut and restrained, it is far from open and generous, but it evokes a purity and transparency that's rare. Flavor-wise, it sits on the citrus side of things with the first traces of almond meal starting to creep in, but it's still young and firm. There’s a decade of evolution ahead.
