Tasting notes
Germain's 2018 Meursault Village is showing very well in this forward vintage, offering up notes of pear and citrus oil mingled with subtle hints of warm pastry and struck match. Medium-bodied, ample and seamless, it's bright and fleshy, with a pretty, open-knit core of fruit and a saline finish.

The 2018 Meursault Village is blessed with an exquisite bouquet. Fleeting notes of citrus peel, lime cordial and orange blossom unfurl in the glass, maybe a little Puligny-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity counterbalancing its tropical tones of clementine and melon, and bitter lemon imparting tension on the finish. This is a very well-crafted Meursault for the vintage that translates barely any of that summer's heat. Excellent.
