Tasting notes
The 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is excellent this year, bursting from the glass with aromas of crisp green apple, pear, iodine and gingerbread. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, succulent and mineral, with a fine-boned, elegantly chalky mid-palate and a long, saline finish.

(one-third from 25-year-old vines; the rest were replanted to a melange of clones less than 10 years ago): Musky nose is currently dominated by smoky reduction. Less complex than the Puligny villages , with its sweet yellow fruit flavors joined by a hint of appley malic acidity. Finishes with good breadth and length but not the definition or thrust of the Puligny. Marc Bachelet noted that the young vines on thin soil had trouble ripening in the hot 2015 growing season, but not nearly so much in 2017.
