Notes of cassis, mulberries, cherries and spices emerge from the 2022 Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac, a medium to full-bodied, round and enveloping wine with a juicy core of fruit, an assertive, youthful tannic frame and a long, spicy finish.

Juicy blackcurrants, leafy herbs, leather, and truffly earth all emerge from the 2022 Château Grand Barrail La Marzelle Figeac. Medium-bodied, it has a focused, structured profile, with firmer tannins and solid complexity. This classic, well-made Saint-Émilion should evolve nicely for 8-10 years.

Fine notes of white pepper and roasted spices to the bright red cherries, berries and plums. Medium-bodied on the palate with stony tannins and a firm, juicy finish. Drink from 2026.

The 2022 Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac has a light, loamy bouquet that lacks vigor but is a little more focused than out of barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit and a sapid finish, but there is a nagging vegetal element.
