Tasting notes
Coming from vines near Martillac, the 2022 Château Ferran Blanc is mostly Sauvignon but includes 4% Sémillon. Resting in 10% new oak, its light gold hue is followed by a vibrant, perfumed white offering lots of lemon and honeyed grapefruit aromatics, medium body, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, and a clean, dry finish that carries a kiss of minerality. It's impeccably made and should be an outstanding white.

I like the cooked apple, lime and light lemon curd character to this. Medium-bodied with creamy texture and a lovely finish.
The 2022 Blanc derives from clay-limestone soils situated in the commune of Martillac. Exhibiting aromas of lemon, fresh pear, peach and flowers, it’s medium-bodied, slightly salty and long, with a juicy texture and a fresh, fruity finish.
Honeysuckle and iris aromatics on the opener here, this feels ripe and succulent, with a slightly unbalanced feel with spiky acidity on the finish. 10% new oak, harvest August 24 to September 1.
