Score 86/100 · Drink 2027-2037, Neal Martin, Jan 2025

The 2022 La Fleur d'Arthus feels a little overripe on the nose and thus loses the freshness it might have had. The palate is medium-bodied with excessively sweet red fruit, white pepper and soy tones, though the finish is short and blunt.

Mulled cherries, plums, tobacco, and incense notes all emerge from the 2022 Château La Fleur D'Arthus, a medium to full-bodied Saint-Emilion with a good sense of freshness and outstanding balance on the palate.

A juicy red with dark plum and light sea salt aromas and flavors. Medium body. Light tannins. Friendly.

Sweet blackberry fruit, quick hit of cloves and rosemary, with fig and baked plum fruits, with undergrowth, truffle and crushed rose petals. Struggles to maintain momentum, although there is drama on display here. 60% new oak.
