Tasting notes
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Prieur unfurls with aromas of cherries, wild berries, dark chocolate and spices, framed by a deft touch of new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a deep and concentrated core of fruit built around suave structuring tannins, concluding with a long finish.

The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos-Prieur 1er Cru comes from a parcel just under a hectare in size, purchased by the Trapet family back in 1977. It offers attractive scents of bilberry and raspberry and light honeyed notes on the well-defined nose; a pastille-like purity develops in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Very pure and refined, with pitch-perfect acidity and a long, harmonious finish. So delicious you could drink it now! Superb.
