The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Athets was quite reduced on the nose when I tasted it, making it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, quite fleshy and pure with vibrant red fruit quite caressing on the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Athets, which will be matured in around one-third new oak, has a high-toned, vivacious bouquet. There was a very slight reduction in my sample, although there is clearly plenty of pure red and blue fruit packed underneath. The palate is lovely, fleshy and rounded, and moderate in terms of depth, although I just find some wood tannins jutting out on the finish. Hopefully this will be assimilated during barrel maturation.
