Ruby-red. Red plum, smoke, iron and tobacco on the nose. Sweet, lush and expressive, with a note of tobacco. Finishes with dusty tannins. An elegantly styled wine that will likely evolve more quickly than the 2004.

A surprisingly strong offering, this blend of 75% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Malbec exhibits raspberry, blueberry, floral, and mineral-like aromas along with subtle notes of toasty oak, medium body, and an elegant personality. Not a wine of power or huge extraction, it will offer finesse, purity, and elegance over the next 10-15 years.

Extreme depth of colour. Reticent nose. Round, full, extremely 'worked' palate and then massive amounts of tannin and acidity. Slight lack of fruit in the middle. Chewy finish. Impressive but not really St-Emilion, just generic modern blockbuster. (JR)

(13.3% alcohol with a relatively low pH of 3.48 and strong 4.2 grams/liter acidity) Bright, deep ruby. Sexy aromas of black fruits, espresso, bitter chocolate and tar. Sweet fruit nicely framed by bright acidity. Finishes fresh and impressively long, with a note of licorice. Substantial tannins spread out to coat the palate. Already full for the vintage, this should gain in richness during its elevage
