Medium-bodied, mid-weight, forward, and up-front, the 2019 Château Tour De Pez has a lighter ruby/purple color as well as attractive currant, sandalwood, and tobacco-like aromas and flavors. It's going to last for a decade.
The 2019 Tour de Pez has turned out to be an attractive, light-bodied Saint-Estèphe with pretty, lifted aromatics and fine overall balance. Red-toned fruit, flowers and mint build towards the nervous finish. This is certainly better than the barrel sample. Then again, that is a pretty low bar.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Tour de Pez is redolent of crème de cassis, wild blueberries and redcurrant jelly with touches of lavender, Sichuan pepper and tobacco leaf. The medium-bodied palate delivers bags of juicy black fruits with a lively line of freshness and well-played, soft tannins, finishing with an invigorating lift.
