Score 90/100 · Drink 2022-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Oct 2022
Characterized by gravelly soils, the 2019 Pontoise Cabarrus is a successful effort for this 28-hectare Haut-Médoc estate located not far from Sociando Mallet. Delivering aromas of rich berries, cherries, sweet soil tones and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with good depth at the core, powdery tannins and a youthfully structured finish.

The 2019 Pontoise Cabarrus displays a potent marine/brine-like scent on the nose that I find attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with layers of black fruit, a voluminous and multi-layered Haut-Médoc with a fresh, oyster-shell tinged finish. Excellent.

A ripe, round red with blackberries and black licorice. Medium body. Ripe tannins.
