Pretty and expressive, the 2017 Monthélie is showing well from bottle, bursting with aromas of cherries, wild berries and rich soil tones. Medium-bodied, lively and fine-boned, it concludes with elegantly chalky back-end grip.

The 2017 Monthélie Village, which sees just around 30% new oak, has a pretty bilberry and raspberry scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit, but quite reduced towards the finish that just needs a little more detail to come through.
