Score 89/100 · Drink 1996-2011, Robert Parker, Jun 1994
The 1993 Cote Rotie La Landonne looks to be outstanding. Made from vines averaging between 25-80 years old, it exhibits a black color, a licorice, Asian spice, and smoky, cassis-scented nose, rich, full-bodied, concentrated flavors, adequate acidity, and moderate tannin in the long finish. This outstanding wine is especially admirable in view of the difficult harvest conditions. It will age well for 10-15 years. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; Tel. (510) 524-1524
