Score 86/100 · Drink 1993-1998, Robert Parker, Oct 1993

Although Coche admits to harvesting too late in 1991, his wines are excellent, with several exceptions. The 1991 Meursault possesses plenty of fat and ripeness, as well as the lovely mineral, smoky, nutty, creamy fruit Coche routinely obtains. Its low acidity makes it a wine to drink over the next several years. While Coche may lament the fact that these wines do not possess structure and acidity for longevity, they are decadent, rich, lusty white burgundies. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA.
