Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2026, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Sep 2018
Reflective of the warm vintage, the 2011 Barolo opens to dark garnet intensity over a mid-weight consistency that veers slightly toward the heftier and richer side of the Nebbiolo spectrum. The bouquet produces a generous flow of dark berry aromas followed by spice, tobacco, prune and ripe fruit. This is a soft and accessible Barolo. Some 13,000 bottles were made. The blend of fruit comes from La Morra, Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba.

Maturing, mid ruby with orange rim. A little closed with only hints of sweetness. Supple, pleasant, juicy fruit, but with a rather dry, tannic charge on the finish. (WS)
