Tasting notes
Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2005

Good ruby-red. Musky aromas of tarry black fruits, violet, wild herbs and minerals. Juicy, tightly wound and rather unevolved, with notes of minerals, tar and licorice. Compared to the village wine, this is quite backward. Tannins are firmer here.
