Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2038, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2022

The 2018 Barbaresco Bordini is a dark, full-bodied wine that expresses the natural intensity of this sector in Neive. Readers will find a bold, structured Barbaresco endowed with serious depth. Black cherry, sage, menthol, licorice, mocha and spice are all kicked up in a Barbaresco that balances energy with size. The 2018 is one of the best versions of this wine I can remember tasting.

The 2018 Barbaresco Bordini reveals a dark garnet color with shiny ruby highlights. With fruit from Neive, you get some soft cherry fruit, redcurrant, licorice, lavender and sweet spice all carefully woven together. The wine's texture is smooth and tight, showing delicate elegance throughout. Production is 10,000 bottles.
