Tasting notes
Pouring opaque, the 2019 Langhe Rosso Long Now is equal parts Barbera and Nebbiolo aged separately then blended together. A robust red with a brooding personality noted by black cherry, scorched earth, and sage, it is full-bodied, with a meaty tannin structure and notes of black plum, dark turned soil, bitter herbs, and tea leaf. Long and rich on the palate, it is atypical for the wines of the region but would be a great wine to pair with grilled meats, burgers, or other fatty dishes. Drink 2024-2030.

The 2019 Long Now is fabulous. It offers up an exotic mélange of blackberry jam, chocolate, cloves, leather, mocha and sweet French oak. This heady, racy Barbera/Nebbiolo blend delivers the goods, and then some. The 2019 is a gorgeous Long Now.
