Like the Bourgogne Rouge, the 2013 Chorey-les-Beaune Village is matured in 25% new oak and my blend contained vines from both the northern and southern side of the village. It has a lifted dark cherry, iodine and strawberry nose that feels exuberant and lively. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins. This feels smooth in the mouth with dark cherry and cassis notes toward the uncomplicated finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-5 years.
