Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2026, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Sep 2018

From the township of La Morra, the 2011 Barolo Serradenari shows a precise level of intensity and balance that was not easy to achieve in this scorching hot vintage. Higher-altitude vineyards have helped to shape the acidity that is, at the end of the day, the real backbone of this wine. The grape stems are separated before the crush and skin maceration times last up to 25 days. Only 3,000 bottles were produced.
