2015 Puligny Montrachet Sous Le Puits

The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Sous Le Puits, which comes from Blagny at a high elevation, was matured in 25% new oak with regular bâtonnage. It has a forward, generous and quite creamy bouquet that just needs to develop greater mineral expression, more tension. The palate is well balanced and smooth on the entry, a little puppy fat here, whilst the finish needs time to absorb the oak. Give this a year in bottle.
