Tasting notes
The 2016 Barbaresco is a gorgeous entry-level wine from Prunotto. Silky, perfumed and wonderfully expressive, the 2016 has a lot to offer. Bright red cherry fruit, mint, cinnamon, orange zest, rose petal and pine add to its considerable appeal. Medium in body and impeccable in its balance, the 2016 is a winner, and a terrific wine in its peer group.

The 2016 Barbaresco is fresh and lean with a bright and immediately open bouquet. This expression of Nebbiolo offers medium depth and persistence with wild cherry, rose, lavender and licorice-like aromas. You can drink this wine straight out of the gate or give it a few more years of bottle age.
Dried-strawberry and watermelon aromas as well as white truffle, follow through to a full body with lots of ripe fruit and a velvety, juicy finish. Drink from 2022.
