Score 92/100 · Drink 2003-2012, Pierre Rovani, Oct 2003

Loads of lilies are intermingled with minerals in the nose of the 2001 Gewurztraminer Cuvee Laurence. A sensual, sexy wine, it is lush, boisterously expressive, medium to full-bodied, and velvety-textured. This decadent offering is studded with lychees, yellow plums, roses, assorted white flowers, and spices whose effects linger in its extensive finish. Projected maturity: now-2012. Aromas of smoked meat, spices and earth. Fat, sweet and full, with expressive inner-mouth aromatic character. Really opens and expands on the long, rich, slightly warm finish.
