1999 Barbaresco Sori Paitin

Black stone fruits, tobacco, worn-in leather, dried herbs and spices are some of the notes that take shape in the 1999 Barbaresco Sorì Paitin. An intense full-bodied wine, the 1999 impresses for its depth. The aromatics are starting to fray and the flavors aren't quite delineated as they could be, but otherwise this is a solid showing from Paitin. The 1999 was aged mostly in cask, although 25% of the juice was aged in French oak.
