RS 160 g/l. Again, quite stunning aroma. Great body, outstanding clarity of fruit and a sudden late acidity to prevent it losing shape. Lengthy, round, exciting, too many fruits to mention and a wonderful botrytis nutty character to finish. (RH)

Full gold. Exotic aromas of ginger, cinnamon and rose petal show remarkably clear varietal character for such a botrytis-rich wine. Lush and thick in the mouth, with the cinnamon and floral flavors joined by honey and resin. This is plusher today than the 2007 Altenbourg Quintessence but is it more complex? Finishes wonderfully smooth, suave and long.
