Tasting notes
Vivid purple. High-pitched aromas of fresh black and blue fruits, potpourri and smoky minerals, along with an exotic hint of apricot. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering juicy blueberry and violet pastille flavors that tighten up and become spicier with aeration. Fine-grained tannins build steadily on the finish, which lingers with excellent tenacity and resonating florality.

100% S é rine, Syrah (60 years old), Rouméas, and Pierelles. Mid to dark crimson. Smudgy rim. Very big and sweet on the nose – not at all classic. Masses of charm but not much structure for a Hermitage. I almost feel as though I could drink it tonight! Not that much concentration but at least it is healthy… A really rather timid Hermitage. Light tannins on the end. (JR)
