Dark and layered with a sleek profile. Fresh aromas dominate, showing leafy lightness and almost vermouth-like complexity with candied orange peel, tar, licorice and oak bark. Austere on both the nose and palate with firm, dusty and powerful tannins. Persistent acidity and tight-knit depth carry into a minty, chewy finish. Such a wonderful wine with a bit of old-fashioned style. Barolo for connoisseurs. Drink now or hold for decades.
