2013 St Peray Roussanne

Light yellow. More powerful than the Marsanne cuvée , displaying aromas of mineral-accented poached pear, tangerine and sweet butter, along a suggestion of fennel. Fleshy and dry on the palate, offering weighty pit fruit and honey flavors and a refreshingly bitter hint of pear skin. Clings with excellent clarity and persistence, leaving notes of smoky lees and minerals behind.
