Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2004-2023, Robert Parker, Feb 1999
The 1997 Cote Rotie Les Jumelles is a spectacular effort. The wine offers an opaque purple color, as well as a knock-out nose of black olives, cassis, dried Provencal herbs, and pepper. There is medium to full body, superb concentration, moderate tannin, and a layered, sweet mid-palate and finish. This excellent Cote Rotie should age effortlessly for 20-25 years. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2023. Importer: Frederick Wildman, New York, NY; tel. (212) 355-0700
