Tasting notes
Palish red. Initially laid-back nose opened to reveal aromas of raspberry, Indian spices and faded rose. Nicely pure and delineated, conveying captivating floral energy for a wine that comes across as rather high in pH. A very stylish Clos Vougeot with a sexy sweetness and a perfumed quality that reminded me of Chambolle. With rather soft acidity, refined tannins and moderate phenolic support, this wine should be approachable relatively early and should not be buried too deeply in your cellar.

(this wine had been racked into a vat the day before my visit): Bright medium red. Aromas of redcurrant and spicy oak, plus a whiff of horseradish. Offers excellent texture for Clos Vougeot, with captivating high-toned spicy lift to the flavors of black cherry and pepper. Not a blockbuster, but this densely packed, subtly sweet Clos Vougeot finishes saline and very long.
