Score 89/100 · Drink 1990-1997, Robert Parker, Jan 1990
Bernard Gros makes an interesting wine that is usually very sweet and perfumed, smelling almost too much of cherry and cassis. The Clos Vougeot, normally a real superstar as the vineyard is next to Musigny, has an amazing level of jammy fruit, but also a very elevated level of alcohol. In the finish, there is plenty of tannin. It is a very exotic wine that should keep well until 1995-1997.
